Ask Iris (previously AI Assistant) is a chat feature in MYOB Business that lets you ask questions about your business in plain language. It’s currently available if you use MYOB Business Lite, Pro and AccountRight browser. It’s powered by our intelligence engine, Iris by MYOB.
What Ask Iris can do
Get read-only insights into your income, expenses, cash flow, profit and outstanding invoices using your MYOB data.
Ask how-to and support questions about using MYOB Business, without leaving the chat.
Return to a previous conversation using your chat history.
Ask follow-up and multi-part questions in the same conversation.
Ask Iris only reads your data. It can’t make changes to your file, settings or business data.

Start or resume a chat with Ask Iris
In MYOB Business, click Ask Iris at the top of the screen.
Ask your question. Ask follow-up questions to continue the conversation.
To start a new chat, click the New chat icon.
To continue a previous chat, click the Chat history icon and choose the chat to continue.
Your previous messages stay in the conversation, so Ask Iris can use the earlier context when answering follow-up questions.
Your business data stays protected
Ask Iris doesn’t use your business data to train AI models. Your data is processed in Australia, kept within Australian systems and isn’t shared with third parties.
Your MYOB file stays safe
Ask Iris can read information to answer your questions, but it can’t make changes to your MYOB file, settings or business data.
You stay in control
Ask Iris can make mistakes. Check important information in your MYOB file before acting on it, especially when making financial decisions. You can also speak with a financial advisor.
